What’s Exacerbating California Fires?

2016 Research Brief

Description

This study focuses on climate change and increasing human populations as two potential causes of the increasing number and size of wildfire in the western US. Through a statistical analysis of CalFire data from 1990-2006, relative contributions of increased populations and temperatures to fire activity across California are estimated.
