Sachi Srivastava

Sachi Srivastava is a Master's student in the Graduate Group in Ecology at UC Davis. She works in the Safford Fire and Vegetation Ecology to better understand how environmental factors and animal seed dispersal are driving changes in subalpine forest structure in the Sierra Nevada. Broadly, she is interested in restoration ecology and how human management activities and natural disturbances shape forest ecosystem structure and function. She acquired her Federal Firefighter Type 2 certification in December 2025 and hopes to help expand the capacity for prescribed fire on public and private lands in California.
