The Nor Cal TREX brings participants from all over the country (and the world!) to burn together on public and private lands throughout northern California's diverse ecosystems. The TREX provides hands-on training that's hard to get elsewhere, on top of a deeper understanding of fire ecology, fire management, media interactions, and regional land management issues. It also builds new networks of fire practitioners from diverse backgrounds, including participants from federal, state, tribal, academic, non-profit, and private landowner backgrounds. It is truly a unique and rich experience!
