Prescribed Fire on Private Lands Workshop

June 5 and 6, 2019 Hollister Veteran’s Memorial Building, 649 San Benito St, Hollister, CA

This training is designed for private landowners and land managers, and anyone else who is interested in learning more about how to plan and implement prescribed fire on private lands. On day one you will learn about options for prescribed fire on private lands, including details on regulations and permits, unit preparation, burn planning, and more! On day 2 workshop participants will have the opportunity to participate in a live-fire training in Bitterwater (Selleck-Ivens Ranch, 46340 Airline Highway in King City) weather permitting. Please wear long pants, long sleeved shirt (natural fibers only), leather boots, and bring sunglasses and leather gloves. Coffee, refreshments and lunch will be provided on June 5. Bring your own lunch and water on June 6.
