About the Conference
The overall conference title is "Building Resilience," designed to reflect a critical fire management objective of our time: changing patterns of wildland fire and other stressors will demand resiliency within our landscapes, communities, and fire management organizations.
The program is designed around four main themes: Anticipating change; Designing resilient fire management systems; Defining and managing resilient landscapes; and Planning smarter, safer, resilient communities.

Opening mixer: Monday, October 24, 2016, evening
Main program: Tuesday, October 25, 2016 to Thursday, October 27, 2016
Additional optional activities (workshops, additional field trip, other meetings) on Monday, 24 October and Friday, 28 October 2016
Workshops
In addition to the main program, a series of optional workshops are being developed to provide opportunities for small-group interaction with software model developers around key fire behaviour and fire ecology topics. Workshops are limited to 40 participants each, and will be held on Monday, 24 October and Friday, 28 October. Workshop attendance is an additional $25 per participant per workshop.
