What’s Exacerbating California Fires? Research Brief
/This study focuses on climate change and increasing human populations as two potential causes of the increasing number and size of wildfire in the western US. Through a statistical analysis of CalFire data from 1990-2006, relative contributions of increased populations and temperatures to fire activity across California are estimated.
